How To Use Derustit SS-3

Paste:
  1. Apply a thick layer of the Derustit SS-3 Paste using a acid resistant brush. Allow the paste to set for 15 minutes on the surface.
  2. Remove loose scale with stainless steel wire or stiff nylon brush.
  3. Rinse thoroughly with water.
  4. Repeat process if necessary, depending on discoloration.
Liquid:
  1. Using a plastic container, immerse the surface to be treated into a bath of Derustit SS-3 Liquid. Allow object to soak 2-15 minutes. Longer for very heavy scale.
  2. Follow same steps as above for Paste.
Pickling and Passivation

Pickling: Complete removal of oxides, carbon, scale and other impurities from stainless steel.

Passivation: Regeneration of the protective surface to resist corrosion.

Derustit SS-3 Stainless Steel Cleaner - in liquid and paste form - is a carefully balanced formulation of effective pickling agents combined with special inhibitors.
