I performed a test program using Wonder Gel to repassivate local areas on our clamps that had been reworked through grinding, welding, etc. half of the reworked areas were treated with Wonder Gel. The parts were tested in a salt spray chamber. The majority of the non-treated reworked areas showed signs of corrosion. The heat discoloration of tig welding on light gauge stainless steel is laborious to remove. Lap or fillet joints present the added problem of a tight corner retaining a dark line. I applied Wonder Gel to discoloration and let it sit about an hour, while I returned to welding. Light rubbing with a plastic scrub brush and water brought instant 95% removal. The remainder came off with a few strokes of a hand held wire brush. I am leary of fantastic sounding product claims. Wonder Gel is everything it claims and more. I create stainless steel metal sculpture, which often has tight inside corners impossible to reach with hand or power tools. Sand blasting is my usual "last resort". No more. Wonder Gel to the rescue. Time is money. The time saved makes this product free of cost many times over!
